Hey guys, Most of you know Louie and our troubles in training him (with heel and focus) so I was just wondering if anyone has owned one before? The cross that is.
Had one on Foster and rehomed him to Maxine on here unfortunately it didn't work out between Oska and Maxine's existing springer so he had to come back, between times she did some great work getting him to focus on her, hopefully she'll be along later to tell you herself, he definately had the springer deafness
I was hoping for the lab when training - I guess he's got his dad's look and his mum's ignorance His mum was lovely, a working springer, maybe I need to work him
Around here they are popular as rough shooting dogs, usually trained with traditional gundog methods (usually fairly aversive but with prey drive satisfaction reinforment). I think using premack works well with these dogs. Adam
