    Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier.

This is a picture of Rosie, she is a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, she has and English type coat and in the picture she is 6 years old.
As you can see, Rosie is a typical wheaten, she is very daft and barmy but that is why we love her!!!
    :D

    This is her intellectual look...

And these are some pictures of our two Wheaten terrier puppies. They both have Irish coats, in these pictures they are eight 1/2 weeks old.

    SOFT-COATED WHEATEN TERRIERS

    PERSONALITY.

Wheatens are: very very loving and kissy they will love anyone welcomed into the home, and it never enters their heads that a person might not like them cause they like everyone!!! So anyone who ignores them may receive extra fuss because they will think that you just haven’t noticed them yet!! :D :D :D
Wheaten terriers are people dogs that cannot be left alone for long periods of time. The are inquisitive and adventurous and a fenced garden is essential as they are very keen to explore!! :D
They are less scrappy than most other terrier breeds and they like to play with other dogs that they meet.

    COAT TYPE

There are two different types of coat in a Wheaten. There is the original Irish type, which is soft, silky and falls in waves of soft curls, which have a high sheen or gloss.
And there is the English, sometime called the American coat. This also has soft waves and curls but is a lot heavier and does have the Irish coats sparkle.
The pure Irish coat gene is dominant over the 'heavier coat' gene.

    TRAINING

The wheaten can be extremely wilful and stubborn. Therefore gentle but firm training is needed. The wheaten is a lively breed that is quick to learn.

    GROOMING

Wheaten's do not shed their hair but do need regular grooming to keep this beautiful coat knot free. The Irish type coat is easier to groom that the english/american type. This is because the english/american coat is a lot thicker and heavier.

    PUPPIES

Not many wheaten puppies are breed in England therefore if you would like one you will have to be put on a waiting list. You would be expected to pay £600-£650 and maybe more if you want a puppy whos parents have done well in the show ring.
