Ive been thinking about adding another dog to our family for about 6 months, I couldn't make up my mind between a boxer or a long haired GSD. But finally I have decided its a long haired GSD. I have been researching the breed and am now even more confused lol After reading all the posts in here and the information on the net I'm even more confused there's all these different lines that I didn't even know existed. Breeders galore, different colours lol I just want a happy healthy family pet, I don't want to breed, show or anything lol I just want a long haired GSD lol Please help lol

Well, they`re all GSDs. The coat length has never made any difference to me - it`s the dog inside that`s important. What will you do with the dog? Will you be planning any sports, do you like going training, do you like long walks? Whatever breeder you go for, make sure the parents are hip scored etc.
I do a mixture of walks long and short as have an elderly collie, who doesn't like going out much now, but am very happy to go on long walks with my other dog. I have never done any sports etc with my other 2 but am thinking i may like to try agility with the GSD although this is not for definite, its just something i'm thinking about.
