Well you'd naturally assume such a mix would be a couch potato surely?

Mind you my work colleague has just lost her Jack Russell which was a low-energy dog apparently, and she is considering a "Huskamute"!

She lives in a tiny house and garden and wants a trainable dog for her daughter to train. I did try and explain that they were an independant sort of type of dog and not easily trained and she wouldn't be able to let it off the lead but she knew better!

people's breed perceptions aren't always correct myself and my family got told a greyhound is a couch potato compared to some breeds satisfied with a 20 min walk we thought they would need hours of exercise as they are used to racing, if only my collie cross still wants more after an 1hr and a half but we always knew they needed alot of exercise as he is not our first and unlikely to be my last.

I was talking to a colleague at work who is nervous of dogs but has young sons who would love a dog. She said she was thinking of getting a border collie because she knew someone who had one and it was very laid back and placid! I did my best to give her the balanced view!
