As this forum is all about breeds (and going by some of the comments I've seen) I wonder if we should ad a 'vs' category, where you could start threads outlining the differences between breeds, e.g.: Breed 1 vs Breed 2 Then you can say what you have found to be different between the two. What do you think? Or maybe we should just have a thread about it
I think most people have their favourite breeds so could not really it with a different one, whereas those who have more than one breed would be able to - but - what about those who have more than one dog of the same breed? They might be the same breed but they are still individuals, so which one do you pick to compare it with a different breed? At one time I had a house full of Griffons, adults, pups, roughs and smooths. But all the same breed and yet all totally different. If I wanted to talk about the difference between Griffons and, say Chihuahuas, which of my Griffs could I use for comparison? [My mentor bred both Griffs and Chis and I learned a lot about the latter from her, which is why I picked that breed as my example.] Oh dear, I know what I mean but am not sure if what I have said makes sense to anyone else.
Sorry Malka I forgot to say that it would be for people who have owned (or have good experience) of these breeds. I got the idea from @curly and @Jackie's posts about PWDs and how they are different to other breeds they have had
