Rescue dog's before and after photo's

i love seeing the before and after images of rescue dogs, does anybody care to share?

well this is my rescue GSD Zara wheni got her at 11 months!

she was a nervious wreck and i rescued her from a bad situation. to cut a long story short her previous owners eventually got banned for a year for animal cruelty and they got the rest of their dogs taken of them.

well Zara is 5 now and she is my pride and joy!

She is a total stunner, I can see why you are proud of her. Shame she had such a rubbish start but glad she found you

This is my Mia, abandoned as a stray in Ireland - under a year old she had days left before she was gonna be PTS
    [IMG]
and Ben, his litter dumped in rescue, they say he was 8 weeks old but prob younger
    [IMG]
    and now
Ben is doing great at agility, Mia has a few more issues but is showing great promise and they both are amazing wee dogs

This was Mo on her first day here,

She had lived in a second floor flat and I don't think she really knew what grass was.
This is her now 3 years on, playing the fool which she does well!!

    And really at home,

What a difference in Zara, she looks so confident and happy now:)

    Here's mine
    Hoki
Taken off her previous owners because she was so overweight - she had already lost 11kg before this photo was taken:shock:

    and a more recent one
    [IMG]
She loves agility but unfortunately will never compete as her fat days have taken a toll on her knees and she can only comfortably manage lower jumps.

    and Stumpy
when she first came to us
    [IMG]

    and more recently

Interesting, usualy with these threads its the big difference you can see in t he eyes
With these it seems to be changes in the ears :D
But they all look so much better and happier - so much so they could be different dogs

I feel a bit of a fraud posting Teddy's pics , we've only had him a few months now & he was only in the rescue for a couple of weeks before we adopted him ... but I cant ever resist showing off my gorgeous dogs :D
He wasnt mistreated , his original family went through a divorce and he was a casualty of that cos no-one wanted him
he is a very happy , lovable dog that I feel blessed to own

The piccie that was on the rescue site (those ears , lol)

This was Boomer when I hadn't had him long, about 6 months old, he was the typical Border Collie ending up in rescue because his original owners thought he came 'pre-trained', but found what hard work Border Collies really are!

    And now 14.5 years old.

Great thread :) I'm just loving the before and after pics :)

Jack was rescued from young family where he had been beaten, thrown across the room, had lighters flared up in his face and generally badley treated, I'm quite expressive with my hands and arms when I'm talking and when we first got him, he would cower down, tuck his tail between his legs, wet himself and scarper off under the table or upstairs out of our way when I did this

Jack, 2 - 3 days after we got him, aged 11 months
    [IMG]

And know, he's 5 tomorrow (12/04/10), he still doesn't like small children or groups of teenagers and is afraid of dogs which comes across as aggression, but other than that, he just a happy, manic dog
