K9 is going with me to the remembrance parade on the 9th November, he is going in memory of all the war dogs, he will be wearing a special war dog poppy. We had the great honor of representing the war dogs last year & its a even greater honor for K9 to represent them again this year. Ive read the book Soldier Dogs: The Untold Story of America's Canine Heroes ( It is a great look into the life of military K9s . Love the Poppy Tina, is it knitted or crochet x
@Azz poppy was knitted by Tov @GsdSlave think its knitted not crochet. K9 is representing a JRT, I have photo of the dog with some military personal & another where the dog is being lowered into a submarine.
I wear two poppies, usually from 1 November each year - a red one and also a purple one which is worn to remember the animal victims of war. And on Remembrance Sunday I also wear my father's WWII dog tags [still on their original bit of - well, it looks like shoe-lace].
