@6JRT's - Many thanks Tina for giving me the information where to buy harnesses for Tikva. I ordered two yesterday and they were dispatched within hours of me putting in the order. Also they only charge €5.09 postage per order, so I had another look today and have ordered another couple plus a "few" toys - having now discovered soft toys I thought I might as well treat Tikva to a few of her own, especially as their prices are extremely reasonable. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that all their collars are leather. Tikva will only need a collar for her tag when she gets one, but I think that a fabric collar would be far better on such a tender neck.
I too only use collars for tags, one of the tea cup dogs I let out during the day wears a kitten collar because his neck is so small even for puppy collar, I go feed him & let him out to go toilet his kitten collar as bell on it, brilliant for locating him when he's having his mad hour run about house mode xx
I would say that Tikva is more a coffee mug pup than a teacup one, but I have a feeling that she is not going to be very big even when fully grown. She will not need a collar until she has her rabies shot and is microchipped, and she has to have three lots of puppy shots first. The rabies shot can only be given four weeks after the final puppy shots, and it depends how much she has grown by then. At the moment the tiny collar I bought for Ziva is miles too big and even the smallest tag I have would be too big and heavy for her. She is little. Very. And yet she has decided that now her main meal is raw, she only wants three meals a day when she should be having at least four.
