    Post Surgery behavioural changes?

    Hi there,

A bit of back story first:

I've been with my partner for about a year and he has an 11 year old Malamute bitch named Siku.

She was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in November 2016 and was given 3-6 months to live. Thankfully, she survived and there are no longer any signs of cancer.

In December 2017 she was showing signs of a phantom pregnancy, which we thought was very cute (at first) as she was mothering a teddy toy, but it turned out to be Pyometra.

She had the surgery and recovered perfectly.

Since her recovery, she has been 110% more vocal (she never used to howl & sing unless the smoke alarm went off when we burnt some toast) but now she howls ALOT (I actually don't mind it, its a wonderful sound). She is also alot more playful, which I didn't think was possible as even at 11 she is like a puppy.

Is this kind of behavioural change normal?
