Lucky dogs! Mine have spent the afternoon in front of the fan. I got their Chillax mat out, but found that the working inner bit has shrunk, and feels like a biscuit! It looks immaculate, and has been stored in its original packaging, so I really don't know why. I think I will get Merry one of those cool coats that you soak in water. (I know Ed would tear it off if I put one on him).
This will then signal the end of summer, and I can store it till next year!

Both mine have cool mats, but will either of them sleep on them? NO!

When I put HRH's down on top of her mattress, thinking she's be cooler, she moaned and groaned so much I had to take it off and the little black devil just lay on the carpet next to his. I give up!

They do however lie on them when we're in the car, but that's only because they don't have an option!

Yes, same here, ours was only used, under a sheet, in the car.
At Birmingham National I bought one of those black, waterproof canvas-covered pads because they will keep lying on the block paving. Everyone at the show said how good they were. Too bouncy. They hate it, and step around it as if it was a land-mine!
Ah well, something else for the rescues.

If you look at 2nd photo down from first lot of photo's you see I have gym inter locking mats down on my slabs in garden, they are brilliant not bouncy just soft to walk on, my dogs love lying on them in the shade.

Gym mats price start from £11 pack of 6 or 4 depending on thickness of mats

What a very good thought Tina. I have a set of those in my shed - doing nothing!
Thank you very much for the idea.

    Lucky Piccolo!
I have to add to my post #3 about the Chillax pad. I sent an email to Rosewood, describing what had happened to it. This morning I received a reply, offering to replace it! 10/10 for Rosewood Customer Service.

I can remember when the hooligans had the padding pool as a sand pit & all 5 could fit inside, now only 2 dogs 3 at a push get inside of the padding pool.

I wanna pool in my back yard. Tons of room but no water access. In anycase, I would sink straight to the bottom as my limbs can not even keep me afloat.

A further update to post #3 and #12.
This afternoon a replacement Chillax pad arrived by carrier, only 48 hours since I first notified them of my complaint! This is truly unbelievable customer service from Rosewood Pet Products. I believed that their products were good quality, it now seems that the service is too. Well done Rosewood, one happy bunny here.

Nearest B&M store to us is 30 miles away so I guess I'll have to stick with the fan for Rosie :(
