Fab pics........ and really cute dogs......... Please correct me if i am wrong..... but I saw it somewhere that you dont know if their ears are going to stand up straight away, and if they dont they are called something else?????? I`d love to know.........
Yes you are right, if the ears stay down they are called "Phalene's" meaning "moth" I will put a pic of my girlie up shortly. Dawn.
This is "Rosie" Pics taken last year at just 12yrs old. She is the mother of the only "Phalene" champion bitch ever in this country and only the second ever Phalene champion here at all. She is a little cracker. Dawn.
Yes I did indeed know about Phalenes too ;-) ,in fact Pepe's dad was one and if you could see him for real you'd see the difference with Reggie ( blck&wth) ,Pepe's ears tend to 'droop' abit more then Reggie's and are more flexi Reggie http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/regsep.jpg in this pixie you can see it a little bit http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/DSC00243.jpg Pepe http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/Image744.jpg and dont mistake their sweet apperence http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/Image731.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/Image732.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/Image735.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/Image696.jpg Vivian x
Thanks for putting me right .I know i`d seen it some where... Love the pic`s with them eating the joints...... ;-)
I would like to tell something about my experience with Paps so far,if ya dont mind and please ,feel free to correct me where or when Im wrong First of all, I spend 11 years in the company of my best friend Chuckey-lee,a Papillon x Markies-girl from a rescue in Holland.I'll never have a better companion then her. Very one-person,protective and do anything for me or to be with me but still friendly to most strangers. She left for the Bridge at the age of 12.5 (Lymphona) last november.... Papillons are very bright and clever, and if you do it the right way very trainable. They do not know they aren't very big and behave like you expect a big dog would Paps will take it VERY personal if you tell them off and if you're too harsh(sp?) with them , their feelings are truly hurt and you'll have to be realy nice for them to stop 'sulking' They're also very fragile and it's not recommended to have a Pap (or more) when you have children under 3-ish ,especialy puppies, because they get very easily hurt or worse... children that age havent got enough body-control yet and might fall or step on and seriously harm your dog(s) ! On the other hand ,they are absolutly fabulous with kids and there shouldn't be any sign of agression what so ever They also are good at Agility and sometimes even used as shepperd-dogs! I have a lot of fun with my 2 Pap-boys ,it's lovely to watch them play with my cats (who are bigger ) and I suspect Reggie has even been one in a previous life,he climbes on everything! They dont take up much room and ofcourse this goes for food ,toys etc too.Still, vetbills and insurance are not affected by their small size And although they are very popular ,there arent that many in the UK so if you're outdoors with them you'll be assured of lots of compliments and attention due to their charming apperance  I love this breed , very loyal, compact ,easy to train, easy to groom (if you do it regurlarly) fun, cute and eventhough they're small they got a lot of love to give Vivian x very childfriendly http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/DSC00047.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/vgribnau/fbb8c0e0.jpg
Where are my manners? Thanks all for your replies and compliments Jackie ,it is believed that Phalene's where the original 'Papillons' Dawn, my boys are sending a big fat shlobber to Rosie, she's a darling and you must be soooo proud Vivian x

A word off caution they are excelent trainers. They tend to train the family in doing exactly what they want. Have one here ;-) Greetings Johan
Oh what great shots; I owned a tricolour papillon boy whom, unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago, his name was Shannon, sweet shannon RIP. I now have a black/white phalene named Monique and she's just so sweeet. I think your two babies are just gorgeous, I especially love the look of Pepe, you'd think butter wouldn't melt in his mouth.
I adore papillons. They are just so smart and affectionate. I presently own a phalene girl....I love her to bits. I will post a photo or two soon.
