I had asked Nir if he could come and clear up my patio and front yard, plus clear out and re-dig the water drainage mini ditch from the corner of the patio down the side of the bungalow, before the rains start - otherwise the patio floods. And the front yard is a mess as all the dirt and stuff that was tipped down when the road and pavement was redone [the new pavement being much higher] had finally completely washed away during last winter's rain leaving just stones - which are now all over the front path. Not helped by Tikki rushing around on them. And he asked me to call him today to arrange when he had a couple of free hours to get the work done. So I did, on my new cellphone but got voicemail instead. So I left a message asking him to please call me but... ...I am so used to switching off my old cellphone as the battery is packing up and they are not made any more, so I automatically switched off the new one as well. He has just called me on my landline, having tried both the cellphones, laughing at the fact that I now have three numbers for him to store on his smart phone.
