Hi, were getting a new puppy in just over a week a X staffy /lab and was wondering if anyone had had this cross of breeds and how there temprament is and also when they can go out after jabs many thanks
What age is the puppy? Temperment really depends on a lot of factors.... the pups upbringing, parents temperment.....
ok thanks i know his mum and dad are quite laid back i know labs are quite bouncy n staffs ive heard can be quite lazy so it will be intresting to see how the mix is
Sounds like a nice mix as generally both have lovely temperaments. My staffie x is about the size of a small lab (not sure what she is crossed with - she's a rescue) and she is very sweet natured but definitely not lazy. Could walk all day if I had the energy Have a lovely time with your new pup.
Havnt had a dog in many yrs n never had a staffy or lab, so very naieve when it comes to these 2 breeds, im just very excited about adding a new family member to our home
I am really excited for you. Both can be chewers as pups so you will need to have eyes in the back of your head when the pup gets a bit older and you will need to ensure mobile phones, remote controls, shoes, socks, well anything really is out of reach. Although mine was 11 months when I got her ten years ago she had never enjoyed a proper puppyhood so when she settled she decided she would have it with me and would chew anything if you didn't keep an eye on her and some of the furniture still shows the damage. Her favourite though was the edges of cushions Also pinched and ate a frozen trout that I had left on kitchen worktop when I left her for half an hour.
I have a friend with this cross and she is a lovely dog . Only thing is she is super strong so good lead training is a must . Enjoy your puppy
I had a Staffy cross Lab for 12 wonderful years, the soppiest most loving dog i have ever known. She chewed anything and everything for her first 3 years though! Usually new clarks school shoes, expensive football boots and all four car seatbelts while i ran into the school to drop the kids! Her name was Chocky as she was dark brown, and was very crafty, loved food and all people, dogs cats, our other pets(cats rabbits, guinea pigs, rat, hamster and a budgie)! I hope your pup turns out to be as lovely as our Chocky Woo. Still miss her 10 years after she died.:-(
i wish someone informed my staff pup of this he is actually worse than my working cocker was at his age (14weeks) lol ATD x
