Got new neighbors. This is their dog. Interaction went like this the second time. She walks all over our yard, and they don't supervise her AT ALL but she's not mean. She is slightly barky at us but it seems to be lessening. The kid you hear is from our OTHER new neighbors. She allows her son to just wander around by himself. That is normal here and our parents were the same way. He's not a bad kid, only mildly annoying. The new next door neighbors are extremely unfriendly BTW. This is a large female dog, under no circumstances will an interaction with Jade be allowed. Seems Nigredo will do fine with her.
I don’t think my dogs would take too kindly to a strange dog wandering into their garden. Guess you are used to it but I couldn’t live without my garden being fenced.
Likewise I wouldn't let my dogs out on their own, if my garden didn't have a secure fence around my garden
Nobody here has a fence. They cannot be built due to huge boulders in the ground that are neigh impossible to move and constantly get in the way. My Nigredo comes when called and doesn't walk all over the place. I'm used to it. Their dog walks all over our yard. Nigredo is a gentle guy, he won't pick fights or act funny if another dog doesn't. This is what we're used to here. Random kids just walk into the yard, as well. Jade wouldn't take kindly to this intrusion either, which is why only Nigredo is allowed near her. Jade will run away anyway so isn't let out except leashed. Nigredo isn't "out on his own" BTW - I am right there. Unlike my neighbors, I don't just lock him out there and vanish. I always keep an eye on him and when I go in, he goes in.
If I could't put up a solid fence up then I would put up a bird wire fence up, that way it would help to prevent other dogs & kids coming over to my garden, (the stakes can go round the rocks in the garden)
Around the entire yard? We've been here 25+ years and I highly doubt such a fence would do much good or hold up. We couldn't put it in front of the driveway anyway and we aren't totally sure of the property lines.
