    Neurological advise

    Hi
My 18 months BC got a neurological jumps during her last period, this has never happened before and lasted for about 10-20 min, it happened the 2nd after two weeks again…

Is it something to be concerned about ?
Could it be early sign of epilepsy!?

    Thanks

Have you taken her to see the vet? That should be your first action.

No one here is a vet. While folks can offer anecdotes, they can't diagnose what is going on with your dog. While some folks may offer treatment plans, they are not based on education and may well make things worse.

In addition, if something IS wrong, any delay in seeing a vet could mean a simple-to-resolve problem becomes a life-long issue.

Talk to the vet about spaying her. That could very well take care of it. Don't breed a dog with issues like your dog has.

It's concerning that your 18-month-old Border Collie is experiencing neurological jumps during her last period. While it could be an isolated incident, it might also be an early sign of epilepsy or another neurological condition.

It’s important to monitor her closely and document any additional episodes, including their frequency and duration. Consult your veterinarian as soon as possible to discuss these symptoms and possibly conduct further tests to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.
