Hi allcan anyone tell me if Border collies have particularly soft pads ?? i know it sounds daft but we had a collie years ago and i can remember she always seemed to be cut her pads ,and now Ruby our collie,has cut her pad ,nothing too nasty ,not even sure how she did it:? but it started me off wondering if this is something particular to collies as Gemma (Labrador)has never even nicked hers.
i'm afraid i don't know.. but none of ours have ever cut their pads (touch wood) - even when working.. hope someone can answer your question soon!
Not sure but Jed cut his pad too last week and also seems to suffer alot with hot aches when his feet are cold and then he comes inside.
I have always had BC's none of mine have ever suffered from that....sorry don't know of anything like that in BC's:?
hello;-) dylan did have a problem with his paw ,he was at my moms and he cut it some how ,on fence i think ,it did end with a op i was very upset as he hadnt long been castrated ,but it did take while to heel ,he had stitches in it . the dressing he kept licking off . apart from this with dylan ,ive had three never problem with the others fingers crossed
