I only do measurements in cm, inches & feet so off I went 2 years ago to buy new fish tank & they are all in metres & mm HELP, anyway after being in shop for a hour I spotted a lovely tank on stand in a book the assistant had given me to browse through so I bought it - I should point out I only got 3 goldfish, anyway 2 days later my tank & stand turned up, my men just stood there looking at the tank & then looking at me the tank was wee bit bigger than I thought it was, it was 2 metres & not 2 foot I had got metres & feet mixed up so here are some photos of my 4 goldfish in their new tank. All set up ready for my goldfish My 3 goldfish in their new tank My 3 goldfish Salt, Pepper & Vinegar Salt. Pepper & Vinegar my 3 goldfish Tank only just fit in the bay window but I can't close my curtains without a stepladder now
Looks like they're living a life of luxury. I miss the fish we had in a pond in our last garden. Though they'd all disappeared before we moved (thanks to the local heron I assume - I think a cat might have been able to catch the odd one, but not clear the pond.) We have a river at the bottom of our garden and sometimes see fish there. I've thought about feeding them, but then remembered the farmer who owns the field at the back allows a couple of his friends to fish there. So it would seem a bit unfair on the fish to attract them to that particular spot!
Lol what are you like Tina I used to have a large tropical tank, not quite as large as 2 metres though. I ditched it years ago but have no idea where I would accommodate a 2 metre tank and this is a big house. I stick to fish in the pond these days and there's not much danger of them disappearing as they seem to breed like crazy.
I just hope they appreciate it. I believe fish grow to suit their surroundings, so they should become whoppers!
I got the fish from a traveling fair, they looked so sad in plastic bags I made my men win them for me, it was only when we got home I realise I didn't have a fish tank, so they lived in a babies bath for 5 weeks, until I bought the tank letting it settle before transferring the fish over to it.
I always say if you gonna have one get a big one looks really good, i'm sure the fish will enjoy the extra room
i would love a big fish tank, i think its so relaxing to watch them. Not sure where i would put one in this shoe box i live in.
