any other british inuit owners on here? heres a pic of my northern/british inuit togo

Togo looks gorgeous, very similar colour to my 2 Utonagans. How old is Togo?

I have to ask but is a BI the same as an NI ?????????????

british inuits started of as northern inuits [some are still pure bred northern inuits] but the person who started them then crossed them with other breeds ,gsd, and czech wolfdogs.the northern inuit society refused to register these new crosses,so the breeder renamed them british inuits.

Its all confusing isnt it. I was earlier given a link to a site with an advert containing a breeder I and some others are watching (Not NI) and was astounded with the amount of NI litters on it. In fact there were :
5 litters of NI's
1 adult NI
1 litter of Chimayo Inuits
2 seperate Inuit dogs (adults)
Same person with "inuit" puppies also.
2 Utonagons, one adult, one litter.
1 Canadian Husky (god knows what that is!!)
2 "wolf look a like" adults.
1 British Inuit litter.

Lets hope its all sorted, and people will soon have a clear understanding of what each dog is. Im sure it will be.

Its not only this type though, all the designer types were there, Cockerdoodles, Jacksh**s, Daxiedobes, Lloyd Terriers... the list goes on.

my dogs were bred by breeders that were/are at some point calling their dogs british inuits, both mine are pure NI lines and are northern inuits, though others are from different lines.

Seems to me that you can call them whatever you like , there will always be someone who will part with their money

yes sadly this is happening.anybody wanting a northern inuit should get in touch with the northern inuit society.
another group claiming to breed northern inuits has just crossed one with a husky ,these are not northern inuits but will no dout be sold as such for huge amounts of money.

Northern, British and Chimayo Inuit and Utonagon all have their own websites, so it very easy to contact the breed sites to find out more about the dogs
