Hi Dutch ... Smashing photos ... keep them coming please!

From your uniform I assume you're a Police Dog Handler????? My two dogs are being trained by an ex Hungarian Police Dog Trainer and Handler..... not that they have any hope of joining the Police Force because one is a Shar-Pei and the other a Miniature Schnauzer! o_O

I am indeed. I have been for 5 years now and I have had Dutch 3 years this month. The photos were taking at a competition in a nearby force. The event was to support a charity that helps owners of retired Police Dogs with Vets bills. It was a great day and we even won some trophies (despite Dutch being a little bit naughty!)

Welcome Dutch. What lovely photo's. I note that you use the scale jump in Holland. We still use one here for KC Working Trials, but our police forces, I think all, have started to use the A - frame now.

Thank you! We are based in the UK. We still use the full 6ft scale in my force. The a frame is mainly used to progress a dog upto the standing scale. Dutch is 6 in June so we have reduced his agility to stop him getting injured!

I have seen that beautiful dog - and these photos - before I think. Was it the Fireside K9 event?

In my experience, most forces in the UK still use the 6ft scale (as do competitors in WTs, as you say).

Yes we were competing at fireside k9 last year and the year before! If you saw dutch doing the scale you would note that he treats the scale more as a hurdle!
