Met a retired police dog at the weekend.

He is called Ray, 7 years old originally from Czechoslovakia.

I realise they have to know the difference between work and play but I still didn't expect him to be so chilled out.
Teg told him off once when Ray tried to sniff his face and you could almost see Ray shrug his shoulders and he went off to say hi to my friends poodles.
They were all chasing after his ball without arguement and Teg decided he quite liked him afterall.

There is no reason why police dogs should not be chilled out with other dogs.

Stable dogs of the correct temperament have an "on" and "off" switch re work.

What a gorgeous photo. You already know how much I love Teg - and Ray is also wow :049:

What a gorgeous big bear of a dog, and lovely that he was such a chilled out and friendly boy.

Lovely looking dog, we see a lot of GSD's around here, sadly many are not properly looked after and not socialisd at all, 'tho thankfully deliberate cruelty is not on the scale that it is in UK.
