    That's probably the vaguest question I have ever seen which is no doubt why people have looked but you have no replies.
    Do you mean other than the obvious?
    Are you talking about a specific breed or generally?
    Do you have other dogs to consider?

    in the GSD/DSH yes, apart from physical differences ie you should be able to tell the sex by looking at the head, Males are more sociable, easier to train, cleaner - far easier than bitches

    Apart from the obvious size difference, it will all depend on breeds and individual dogs, some breeds males are more challenging, some are more aloof , clingy, some bitches can be independent more obedient, and can also be real madams..
    It all depends on what you like in a dog.

    Males are obviously larger than the females. There are so many variables within character, temperament and type that it is impossible to say males are x, y and z and females are a, b and c. If that makes sense!

    Personally I prefer the males, as I like the masculine look. Both my males and females have been affectionate, loyal and biddable.
