@6JRT's Did you ever sort out what your mystery plant was, which had differently coloured flowers? At the time I wondered if it could be a Hibiscus, but the leaves looked a little different. I have just been looking through some of this Summer's photo's and found this one of the Hibiscus in our front garden, with three different colours of flowers on it. So - is this the one? It seems to start with the magenta flowers, which gradually turn blue. As the foliage grows taller, most of the new flowers are creamy pink.
