Please meet our new addition to our family... His name is Harley and he is a 13 week old, one eyed GSD (he got attacked and lost his eye as a result, as did his litter mate sister)







Well, we got home after an absolutely brilliant journey on the dogs part. Jess was quieter than normal and than what she was on the way, and Harley was amazing!!!



We got home, first thing they did is went straight to the water bowl... Both drinking from it at the same time, then Jess moved away to let Harley finish, so sweet (and wouldn't go back until he had moved bless her).



He has been doing much more barking than her (I didn't think that any dog could bark more than Jess hehe), and at the moment, they are both sparkers.

well done you for taking him on, I have to ask how him and his sister lost there eye though, poor wee sole.

All I know is that they were attacked by the resident dog in their home, which was a collie.

I kind of didn't want to know anything else as I think it would be really upsetting.

Both his sister and him have lost their right eyes as well bless them (she is a white girl )

my old lurcher lost his left eye due to cancer when he was 7. he adapted beautifully to the loss and i know he played on the 'sympathy' angle many times with great success!

being so young, i'm sure your boy will have no trouble at all!!

Now I am not a fan of the GSD usually (just not my type of dog) but he is gorgeous!!! He has a dear little face doesn't he. Me likey!!

What a cracking little pup! It's a shame about his eye but he will manage just fine. Good for you for taking him on!

There is 7 month old long haired GSD puppy in our dog club, she lost an eye whilst playing roughly, but she is a fantastic dog and being one eyed doesn't bother her at all. Dogs just get on with it, don't they? Wee souls.

aw what a little smasher. my friend has a gsd with one eye and he still competes at obedience so im sure it wont stop him doing what ever he wants.
