    It is very noisy outside

Wheelie bins are blowing down the street [not mine though as it is safe] and - well - it is very noisy.

Oh, and De Dawgs new clip broke but because of the wind she shot back in as soon as she had peed.

I can't believe the new clip broke. It's only been about two weeks since you replaced the old one.

I cannot see that it has broken but there is a spring which closes it and I think maybe it just needs oiling. In the meantime I have put a mahoosive carabiner on her tether and will sort it out later.

That is what I am now using. Rather larger carabiners for a medium size dog? The problem is that they have no turning wotsit so the tether gets roundy roundy. And my hands are rather useless.

The ones that are now going booger woogers I will find again are these... do not go away I will find them... I hope...

    ...do not hold your breff...

I mean I am using large and heavy carabiners which is crazy especially I have problems opening them.

The previous photos close on each other so why am I having to now use large heavy carabiners on a small/medium dog? Especially when I cannot open/close them?

The red bits unscrew then slide down to push clip open so can't be done by dogs leads, have notice the clipper clips can come open by dogs leads getting caught on clip.

Yes I have had that happen as well, Tina. In fact I cant use Eddie's most expensive leather and brass martingale set together for that very reason. Also, relating to the photo you have above - never attach a new clip by the jump ring provided - one serious pull (towards a cat or whatever), and the jump ring will straighten out, and disconnect. Save the jump ring for your keys or whistle.

I use horse lead reins now for my own dogs, they have heavy snap clips with S-pins preventing the lead from opening the snap clip. I buy them from Ebay I have 4 foot, 6 foot & 10 foot leads xx

Ziva with her pink horse lead rein with heavy snap clip.

I am not sure what happened to "latest post" but I obviously lost it.

De Dawg had a major Grand Mal around 4am but fell off the bed so did not pee on it and was only thrashing against the doors of the plastic cupboards so I knew she was OK to leave for a while.

So I got the strip of Valium pills out of my bedside drawer, took them into the kitchen to get four out [they are 5mg so she gets 20mg] ready in squeazy cheese when she came into me. Then gave her the usual 4 tablets then half a frozen chicken back which calms her down while the Valium works.

She eventually calmed while I was on the computer to calm me down, then she went to sleep on the recliner while I had a look on the computer and then had a zonk on the couch. When I surrfaced for coffee I noticed that instead of 4 x 5mg Valium I got the wrong strip out and she hat 4 x 10 mg Histaxine [Cetiraxine Dihydrochride 10mg].

Spoke to Ram and he said a slight OD but will not hurt her, she would just sleep which is what we want.

But when she woke she then went into a Psychomotor seizure which meant Valium and another chicken back and she keep waking, going loopy and cannot go outside by herself but nothing to do with the mistake from the meds, and at nearly 2pm I still have not had my coffee.

So sorry Pereg and Malka - how many days is it this time? Rest up both of you, and come back fighting.

It was Day 34 which was better than last time and that time she had two within two hours, but a GM then a long lasting wall-climbing Psychomotor is not much fun. But I am napping on and off on the couch when I can but my coffee is still not drunk so is probably dead, been reheated that many times. And I cannot remember if it was decaff or full leaded so if not decaff it is too late for it now!

She sleeps then wakes up post-ictal demanding food - sleeps then starts climbing the walls again like in a Psychmotor - Valium again, food again, sleeps again then is post-ictal again - and I never did my coffee.

She is now sitting in the open doorway and is ffffffffreezing but at least she is quiet. I do not know what to do. It is 9.40pm and this has been going on and off since 4am.

    @6JRT's - I have these...

[without leash - in any case I need them on a 12 metre rope tether]

I think they are similar to yours? I was holding the one in the bottom picture open with my index finger. I use one at the end of the tether that clips onto the chain thing inside the door.
