Is this pup a lurcher? Photos

hello there i got this pup when it was 3 months old its now nearly five months old and standing at 18 inches i was told it is a lurcher cross what do you all think.pup video on youtube martync1967.

I think it is a lurcher, maybe bit of lab in there somewhere.!!!!!!

He certainly looks like a lurcher to me , But im no expert I am sure someone will be able to tell you better , Gorgeous pup btw xxdk

her name is shadow and she normaly holds her ears back

do you think it will grow much bigger i think it might reach 20 inches fully grown

She's definitely a lurcher type, just look at her feet! Lab x Greyhound probably! The large ribcage gives the Labrador part away and the whip tail, feet and ears from the sighthound side! Lurchers make great companions, so enjoy her!

Would not turn her away if you brought her to a lurcher show looks like some Greyhound or Whippet in there somewhere, colour is a bit of a puzzle looks like setter colour but no feathering so don't think it can be. Anyone any idea where the red may have come from?

Just seen new picks and there is a red cast so may be she is black, that is much more likely.

Will she grow OP asked, how old is she?

If she's only 5 months at the moment, I'd say she'll be fairly tall! Our Lurcher pup is 6 months and is already 22". Obviously it depends on her parentage, but I don't suppose you know that otherwise you wouldn't have started this thread! Both Labs and Greys can vary enormously in size but judging by her present height on the picture compared to you, I'd guess that she'll be about mid thigh, but I may be wrong! It'll be easier to guess her parentage when she's over a year old, when any feathering etc will have appeared!

I personally can't see any Lab there. I see Whippet/Greyhound as she looks now, but perhaps as she gets a bit older we may see some feathering , but I think she is all sighthound, but which mix as yet it is difficult to say.

No matter what mix she is she is a lovely lurcher girl.

I was going on the size of her ribcage and the width of her skull to idicate Lab, but the white stripe could come from a hint of Border Collie, or Greyhound as they come in such a wide variety of colours! Admittedly, she looks more sighthound on the last 2 pics than the first ones, but at 4 months, it's hard to tell! Anyway, this all comes from someone who's not certain of her own Lurcher pup's heredity!
