We adopted this little guy, named Chef, a few months ago in Ecuador. He's super lively, always cheery and requires some serious running to wear out. We don't have any breed information on him as he came from a rescue, but he's a rather odd duck around here. We think he fits most definitions of a JRT, and certainly does by personality, but wondering what you guys think. He's about 13"s at the shoulder, has a pink underbelly with black splotches. His coat get wiry over time though we keep him a bit trimmed. Is a JRT?
Whatever he is, he is definitely cute! Well done for rescuing him. If you love him and he shows love back, does it matter whether he is a JRT? Just enjoy him as he obviously enjoys being with you.
He looks as if he could have a bit of Mini Schnauzer in him going by his stance, tail and the shape of his face ... but whatever he is, he's lovely!
Thanks guys, ya a mix does seem most likely given the sheer number of wild dogs here, we were just trying to track down his origins a but more. He's an awesome pup for sure and brings many smiles to our faces daily! Thanks!
Hi nic...nik here. I think you've gotten very lucky as he looks like a broken coated JRT. He's got that cheeky look in his eye and that devilish grin that is a true give away.
