    Is she too thin?

My oh is worrying about Katie so i said i would come on and ask see if you could put his mind at rest.;-)
We went to the vets for there yearly booster and check up, The vet said she was fine, but my oh thinks Katie is to thin! she is 33.5kg and 13 months old.
Not sure where i read it but, I thought GSD's went a bit leggy when growing, she eats nearly all of her food in the morning and what she leaves she eats in the afernoon and then she eats all her food at night.

Sorry, don't know what weight she should be etc. (maybe if you posted a recent photo of her that would help others comment too).

I would only say that if the vet was happy, I wouldn't be concerned.

Flame was very skinny and leggy until she was over 2 years old.

As long as Katie is active, eating well, firm stools etc etc then I wouldn't worry about it.

Unless she is greatly oversized thays a good weight for a GSD bitch. I certainly would be more worried if she was overwight at this teenage time.

    Thank you

I will tell OH what you have all said, and he is worrying about nothing, she eats well, exercies with no problem, i think because she is on the go all the time she doesn't have time to put on unwanted fat.

I think she looks lovely. GSDs are pretty reknowned for not being hefty, especially at her age so there really isn't anything to worry about, especially given the vet has seen her, weighed her and okayed her. All the young GSDs I know look just like her (and I admit I know a few) so tell OH not to worry!

At 33.5kg she's doing fine, remember she's got a lot of growing to do yet, she won't be fully grown until she's over 2yrs old.
Nero and Caesar are 2 and a half years old, and are still filling out. ;-)
