i dont think so , put a standing up shot on be able to see better ,she is lovely love the pink collar;-)
Maybe just a little bit. she is just the cutest The easiest way to tell whether your dog is in ideal body condition is by feeling the ribcage. The ribs should be easily and clearly felt with little flesh between the fingers when you pinch the skin. Too Thin: The dog's ribs are highly visible. Ideal Body Condition: You can feel and see outline of ribs. The dog has a waist when viewed from above. It's belly is tucked up when viewed from the side. Too Heavy: You cannot see a waist when viewed from above. Belly is rounded when viewed from the side.
i would really love to show her does anyone know how and and if she could? i did really want to breed her but looking into it there are so many abandoned staffies out there im not sure if i could xxx
She's adorable! If you get some pics of her in a 'show stance' side and head on, and some of her head, you can put her in the 'Critique my dog' section and see what members think of her show wise, that would give you an idea of her potential. As for being fat, a little chubby maybe but hard to tell from the pics, nothing serious.
I can't see the picture on here, but don't most puppies go through a tubby and skinny stage as they are growing? I know my parents dogs did (well the ones they got from puppy stage). Their GSD went through a stage of being really skinny till she was around 18 months old. She started off really tubby too.
Your Vet would be the best person to tell you if she's overweight or not. I worried that my eldest cairn was heavier than she ought to be, even though she has a definite waist, but I was reassured by my Vet that she hasn't got an ounce of fat one her, it's all muscle....she's just a big dog for her breed, so perhaps this could be the same with your dog.
what i try to do is not have a wee swollen tum, cut her back a wee bit and see how she looks after a couple of days...she is gorgeous though looks very cheeky x
Sweet pup. At 14 months she has stopped any major growth and will just fill out more now. I would check with your vet and weigh her, and consider cutting her back 5-10% of her food for a couple of weeks. Then weigh her again....if she has lost weight but still looks great you are on the right tracks. I weigh my lappies regularly as they have so much coat its easy to be taken in by changes in coat etc. Mary
She is VERY cute and she is still so young so don t worry too much, maybe a slight increase in exercise if worried? But she is a lovely girl
