Or does everyone else hate waiting for deliveries too? I ordered a few bits for Billy (a backpack and 10m lead) and can't wait to get them. I am hoping that they come tomorrow but if not I will be feeling super impatient. Also waiting for some stuff for myself and have no idea when that will turn up but I am desperate to get it soon!
I know how you fedl. I am waiting for a book from America, 'The Dog in Movement', (1950), condition very good. At the price I'm paying, roughly 1/6th. of the secondhand bookshop price over here, I'm happy to wait.
I rather pay extra for a motorbike courier if item is small, they do same day delivery if ordered item is ordered before 2pm or next day delivery if after 2pm [only applies to items bought in UK]
I know how you feel Katie. I buy things online from iHerb in the US and they used to arrive [by regular airmail] in maybe less than 10 days. Now it is anyone's guess as to when or if they will arrive as there is no tracking. A few days ago I received a small package from China which was mailed on 19 January.
Anything I can't get over her in Hungary I normally order online from the UK. Apart from books which come by post all other goods are sent by courier which providing a weekend doesn't intervene normally takes 7 days. Most things for the dogs I've been ordering from Petplanet and until this year have always had a good service, but unfortunately for them they've lost my custom due to overcharging twice for courier service and then compounding everything by taking over 2 months to replace goods that never arrived due to their being damaged in transit. I've now found an extremely well stocked and efficient pet shop called Pettissimo in Budapest (150 miles away) who deliver COD in 24 hours of placing my online order and only charge £2.50 for courier delivery compared to anything from £9.99 to £19.99 Petplanet were charging. Their prices are also cheaper than Alphazoo in my nearest city where I was paying £17.25 for 2.27kg of Acana Grasslands kibble. Online its only £12.50 so a considerable difference, so in future they'll be getting most of my business!
Well, the Katie's vibe has worked, and my book turned up today! (I should have said, 'The Dog in Action'). Written and illustrated by McDowell Lyon, it is an oldie, but a classic which I feel I should have in my collection. The condition is good for it's age , always a worry with unseen secondhand books, and something of a miracle as it arrived in just a plastic bag.
