Great story I saw on yahoo news today. https://www.yahoo.com/travel/doggie...hoto-ride-in-a-canoe-photo-1421774939461.html
Saw this on Facebook they posted pictures every day of their adventure & people were donating money so they could have more adventures
Call me a cynic if you want, but this is not the first story about an owner making a bucket wish for their dog. Only it is really for their gratification, not for the dog, who would have no idea where it was, what it was supposed to see, what it was supposed to feel. Just for the owner to feel good. As for people donating money - for what? To help cure the dog? No. The money was for the owner to fulfill their adventures. Not really for the dog at all. Sorry @LMost and @6JRT's - but I do not think that is for the dog - it is just for them. As I say, call me a cynic if you want, but this is how I feel about these stories.
Not for me im afraid,if the dog is dying im sure it would have been far happier going for nice walks or to the beach and playing with her favourite toy, sharing some quality time together would be more beneficial to the dog, than being dragged around everywhere.
Well having owned a dog with bone cancer, the last think on my mind would be to drag a dog all over the place that will be in extreme pain ( its a horrendous painful disease) we kept Bandit as quiet as possible, with short walks if he was up to it. Notice the "for me" attitude all the way through the article, dogs don`t have bucket lists, they don't hanker after places to see and things to do, as for donating money so she can do all that, well its another example of people being drawn in by sob stories.
For my Sophie if she was on the way out...her last perfect day would be eating sour cream off my hands, a short walk and laying beside me all by herself until she was ready to go. I think the bucket list thing is too much myself.
