In Marie Claire magazine's December issue there was a photo layout of jewelry. The photographer had baby animals posed with the baubles. With a lion bracelet there is a cat. I don't know if it's a wild cat or a domesticated variety but I am so going to try to track down what it is. I tried to look on their website but got confused searching. I can't get another cat until Sophie passes on but I just want to know the breed for future reference. All our cats have always been good old alley cats but this one was special, worth hunting down a breeder even...something I've never done. It was like a tawny brown, small almost Siamese shaped face and huge ears. I'll go back to the nail place and get the magazine just so I have the picture. Anyone know what it might be?
No idea then as I am not "into" cats - the only ones I have had were , Ginny-the-cat back in England who I got from the RSPCA supposedly 8 weeks old but according to my then vet was barely 5 weeks old, and LLK [Late Lamented Kattypus aka Kat] who was a rescue tiny feral kitten I rescued from someone who found her when I moved here. Ginny-the-cat was mostly black with a bit of white, LLK was mostly white with a bit of black. Both were just - how can I say it politely - just cats? Ginny-the-cat was adopted by the people who moved into my house when I left to come here, and the last I heard was that she was still going strong years later. LLK went across the fields and across the road to another Moshav one time too many, but she had had four happy years with me, which was far longer than most ferals had.

Azz thank you this is exactly what the cat in the picture looked like...I'm puzzled though. Oriental Shorthair is what?
Orientals are gorgeous - I saw one at a show once and fell in love Orientals are very similar to Siamese, but generally come in a wider variety of colours
It's like a cross between a brown tabbie and a mountain lion. I love Ab's too...my Mom always had Siamese but would have had an Abyssinian too if my Dad hadn't hated cat fur so much.
