I used to carry all over the place in a bag when she was a pup. It allowed me to regulate her walks so that she didn't have to do too much and also helped to train her to settle down on my lap when at cafes etc.

There's nothing wrong with using them as they are so useful for small puppies :)

Tiny though she is, Tikva cannot be carried in a normal bag as she climbs out of them. And there is no way that I can cope with carrying a tiny wriggler on my lap even just going over to the macolet let alone driving round the Moshav so she can get accustomed to the outside world.

The bag, which will be plenty big enough for her and has more than enough mesh panels, will be ideal. I just hope it arrives sooner rather than later.

I use one for my tea cup dog I look after, very useful as it means I can take him plus the other 3 dogs for walkies all together (Whippet, Boston Terrier & Pug) its also very handy for taking Gizzy (cat) to the vets in.

All being well, Tikva should officially be mine on Friday as Michal [Ram's new-ish vet] will be coming here on her way to open the surgery at 9am. She will check Tikva over, give her a worm pill [to the best of my knowledge even her dam had not been wormed] and will see if she thinks Tikva is big enough for her first puppy shot. And Tikva will be officially registered at the surgery as belonging to me.

Ram, who I adore, always looked after Pereg because of her epilepsy. Michal came round to check Ziva, worm her and register her, but then of course Ziva "vanished" while I was in hospital. And now it looks like Michal will be looking after tiny Tikva.

Tikva is old enough for her first puppy shot, the thing is, is she big enough? I will go by whatever Michal says, and if Michal is going to be the vet looking after Tikva, then that will obviously be with Ram's agreement. And with mine.

Incidentally, that carrying bag was £13.98, postage free, so I am not complaining.

Looks like a very nice carrier. You'll be able to safely carry your now screaming puppy anywhere. LOL. Might take her a while to get used to being in a carrier.

She is not really a screamer but she is a wriggler when being held! It will be great when it arrives as I will be able to drive round the Moshav on The Silver Monster so she gets used to the sounds and smells of things like the school buses, huge tractors, big trucks etc [not that they are around all the time].

Yesterday I had her on my lap when I went across to the macolet and she ended up trying to get down the back of my top, having climbed on my shoulder! It is impossible to keep her still - no sitting quietly on my lap for madam Tikva, so until the carrier arrives she will have to go into her crate when I go to the macolet now.
