I am getting a new Bichon puppy (8 weeks) soon. One thing stressed me out is that the puppy needs to pee during the middle of the night. Given the raining season is here, it sounds very challenge to get up to take the puppy out of the house multiple times during the night. I wonder if there are alternatives to this challenge. Also by how many weeks that bichon puppy can sleep through the night? Thanks!
There is no set time, it depends how settled she is, and how quickly she learns what is expected. Are you using a crate? If so make it into a comfy den that she is happy in. I have had Cavalier puppies that could go through the night at 8 weeks, but plenty of others have got me up - I actually prefer that to having to wash bedding every morning. It isn't a big problem if you don't allow it develop into a playtime. A quick wee, and then back to bed with a biscuit.
