How many members have Plummer Terriers???

    Hello,

Im new to the forum, would be great to get to know you all, I keep Lurchers and Plummers, would be good to see some more Plummers, from personal experience I have found them to be very addictive, just wondered if anyone on here thinks the same!!

Neither had i melsgems - i found this on a plummers terrier website though.

"A Plummer Terrier is simply a composite of a Jack Russell terrier, Bull terrier, Beagle, and Fell terrier. The breed was developed by Dr D.B. Plummer who was one of the countries leading field-sports writers, author of over 50 books including ‘Nathan’ a novel about a Victorian pit fighting dog."

Have to say, I've never heard of a Plummer either, but, wow, what a stunner! I can see why you say they are addictive. Are there many in the UK, and are they a recognised breed? How tall are they? (Excuse my ignorance!).

They are becoming more and more popular, at a game fair recently everywhere you turned there was a plummer. More in the classes than the other terrier breeds that was there.

Height at the withers: dog's 34cm(13inches) bitches 31cm(12 inches) but 2.5 cm (1 inch) above or below is acceptable. - you can see the rest of the breed standard if you follow the link to the European Plummer Terrier Society website.

Not yet recognised, but pushing for KC recognition at the moment.
