Hi All, been a while but quick report for those that know.....Sam id doing great. Much happier, training well, and everything was great...... Food in the morning, about and hour and a half after walk with pooh and wee etc. Then home with me all day (garden) till school time....walk and wee.....then big evening walk with wee and pooh.....SPOT ON! Then all of a sudden, mess at the front door, then stop for a couple of days then mess at the front door. This morning, taken out and nothing, fed then immediately mess at the front door......still same on walks.... HELP with ideas please?
Is it happening during the day or night or both? Are the poo's normal for Sam or are they of a different consistency? Becky
Hi, As Becky asked, has the consistency changed? Colour changes? Changes in diet? routine? Environment?Atmosphere at home? More/less stress? Any number of very small, otherwise unnoticeable changes can trigger a dog to poo in different places or at different times. How long has it been going on for? Does Sam seem OK in himself/ Not under the weather at all? Laura xx
If it`s sudden it`s probably an upset tum (dog just can`t hold it). How about leaving the door to the garden open for him? You have to get rid of the scent - I use Dettol - or it becomes the `place to go`. If it isn`t an upset tum, you may need to keep the door to the hall closed to break the habit.
Hi all, no all same consistency etc. During the day it happens. I'm actually wondering if I've sussed it! We're having our garden landscaped at the mo and it's all mud now. I caught her eating it!!! Anyone think could be?
Ah, it's not the eating of the mud but the stress as a result of the work going on that is causing it. If you are at home, or someone is, during the day then try taking her out for a walk a couple of times extra during the day until the garden is done. Becky
