Was looking for something and came across these, this is just a few. A unique collection of historic and fascinating dog collars has been built up over the years and is now the only one of its kind in Great Britain. Mrs. Gertrude Hunt most generously presented her collection of collars to the Leeds Castle Foundation in memory of her husband, John Hunt, the distinguished medievalist. The collection of over 100 collars and related exhibits has since been added to and enhanced by the Foundation itself. Spanning five centuries, the collection contains examples of collars from fearsome fetters for the great hunting hounds of the past, to canine couture for 21st century pooches. There are collars from the 15th century which were worn to help protect pooches from the wolves and bears that roamed Europe at the time. There are also avant-garde leather collars from the 18th century.
That type of collars are coming back into fashion (leather not metal) the starting prices for my size dogs are £58 for a large breed starting prices start at £265.
Currently according to what you get custom Oli Collars, can run you 45.00 to 450.00 us according to what you get. The one I'm planning on getting Mouse once he hits 2 years is around 275.00 us
I like the collars they use for Kangals now days. Wanted to figure out how to get my boy something like that.
Hum...SM much? I have to admit, we have a regular customer who dresses her chi in a Harley Jacket and mini spiked collar...adorable! On Callie it would be overkill.
What a wonderful collection ... I'd love to see them! Buying collars for Georgina is always a problem because being a Shar-Pei the older she gets the fewer the wrinkles she has around her head and neck, and every 6 months or so I have to buy a smaller sized collar .... I'll soon be able to open my own museum!
Here is some of mine I have slip & martingale as well. Of course weight pull harnesses too. I even have a head halti though it's really of no use to me.
I want this http://glitter4yourcritter.com/Oli_Collare_de_Mastini.htm can't post the pic so you have to open the page
