    Hi Foxy :)

He was the family dog, he died in 2002 :( My mum chose him...

Me, I wanted a dog that was a bit more of a dog  Ben was very very sweet but quite dumb LOL... I don't think he ever played with toys, he just used to sleep and cuddle us all day.... LOL He was a bit weird.

Archie is totally the opposite.... loves running around playing like a madman, getting filthy, but still he is very affectionate :)

Both very sweet but I wanted a dog I could walk for miles with, play with, have lots of fun with etc.

There ya go, that's why I changed

Ben sounds like my Tri Barney, he wont play with toys likes to sleep all day and night when he was younger hed walk for miles. As for the other 2 (B/T's) they play all day with each other and Reeno will walk all day and loves the puddles as long as you bath him when hes home, Disson cant walk as far but he loves to get dirty and go swimming lol.

Nice to have you with us.

    lol Enerosar :)

Ben had a heart murmur (quite bad) and I think that had a lot to do with it :(

TBH another reason I changed breeds was cos CKCS have sooooo many health problems and I just couldn't deal with the heartbreak :( I know now a well bred CKCS is different but I guess Ben was not well bred.... he had every problem they are prone to! :(

tuti every breed has health issues it just depends on how they are bred :(

our 4 cavaliers are nutters, draiman he is 2 he is quiet he loves to cuddle, but he will play with toys and loves going on walks.

Leland he is only 7 months so quite lively as well is willow.

Buffy she loves playing most of the time but also loves to cuddle.

They all love going on walks, they like to be off their leads in a field so they can do as they please but also like going to parks on leads cos they get to see people and get a fuss  lol

i'm sorry about what happened to yours :( must not have been nice to see him ill.

Yes I can imagine little Archie is a lot more lively than your mums cavalier - he never stops does he

My sister used to have two CKCS's and she thought the world of them - they had no children so they were their babies :-( Anyway both were on heart tablets by the time they were 5 or 6 years old and one of them (my sisters favourite - died on his 9th birthday - that was really sad   ) The other one died when he was 11 years old :-(

Both my Cavaliers ended up with heart trouble, but my boy was aged 14 which is quite good for a Cavalier. Right up to when he was about 12 he had loads of energy and loved playing with balls and going on holiday to the beach. He would really get excited when he saw us packing the suitcases. I miss him dearly

yeah thats so true inca, but its also buying from breeders who dont inter bred cos thats how it all starts so we have been told by vets and breeders, but none of my cavaliers were from breeders who heart test and all my cavaliers hearts are fine, where as with rafa you could feel how different his heart beat was, but i have learnt alot from all my heartaches on what to look for nowadays.
