Here's hoping the snow and ice holds off

    Good day all,

I am hoping the snow and ice holds off for a while this coming season. I have realized before it gets too bad we will likely have to say good bye to Copper. He is having trouble getting around as it is and I can't imagine what it will be like with snow and ice. At this realization by heart breaks yet again. Thanks for listening/reading.

Each day sounds as if it’s becoming more and more stressful
Is the snow forecast to come where you are ?

We live in Maine so snow and ice are inevitable. It's just a matter of when. I try to tell myself not to think so much about Copper and his circumstances but just when I "forget" he will stumble or trip and I am reminded. I am truly hoping against hope he will be able to make it past Christmas. I guess time will tell. Thanks for listening.

Update on Copper: Today I let Copper out to do his business and he went toward the road (which he never does). The vet said he has an element of dementia which I forgot to mention in earlier posts. I am wondering if DM (degenerative myelopathy) can also affect the brain? Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Oh no, as if things couldn’t get any worse
He sounds as if he is really struggling now, what a shame, words can’t really convey how we feel and want to support you
