I really want a toy dog but cant decide what to get i need a dog that does not bark to much any advice please
Depends what you mean by barking to be honest, I visited a pug breeder a couple of weeks ago and there were about 6 adult pugs and they were all barking at me as I went in but it didn't really register as compared to a Dobermann in full flow it was hardly noticable.
alot of toy dogs can be yappy. not all but some breeds are more known for it than others. depends what else you want out of a dog. you cant really base your decision on a dog that barks or not as within each breed every dog is different. i have two chinese cresteds which are from the toy group.
Want to swap my Chi for this plz lol. Only joking. I have a Chuhuahua he's not a yappy dog he has a really deep bark bless him, but he only barks if the door bell rings or there's someone around who shouldn't be. At the bottom of our garden is the school playing field he never barks at the kids (infant & junior) but if there's an adult there he barks which is good really. He'd let us know if anybody was around, strange thing he's fine with the neighbours on one side but barks at the neighbours on the other side.
i think you are blessed, ive met some right yappy chihuahuas!! the worst are at shows and you walk past and get ganged up on by 6 little things raring at the bit and yap yap yapping in your face
