Hi All I have just signed up to breedia and wanted to introduce myself. I have lurked on here a few times and posted on dogsey a long time ago but wanted to say hello properly I run a small dog day care business from home and am owned by a Lowchen and a german pointer cross My Pointer is a GSP x GWP called Sherlock and he is 5 1/2 years old My Lowchen is Called Roo and she is just coming up to 6 months Hopefully there are photos below Looking forward to chatting to you all x
Hello and welcome - what lovely looking dogs you have! I love their colours. Sherlock looks just the kind of dog Pepe my Standard Poodle would like to have a game with! And I'm sure Chico my Chihuahua would love flirting with Roo.
Hello Sarah, A former Lowchen owner here, and I love them! Welcome to Breedia, Carole, Eddie and Merry the Beagles.
Thanks Janet, they are both great dogs and I've obviously picked photos that show their characters well - Sherlock is still like a big puppy and if he can find a similar sized dog that will race around with him, he is in his element! Roo is the funny but feisty one and loves getting all the attention from the boys! Her current object of her affection....or should I say demands is a lovely black pug who comes for day care - he seems to have taken on the role of doting husband and lets her get away with anything she wants! He goes home shattered from just following her around. Thanks for commenting
Hi Carole Roo is my first Lowchen and won't be my last - Ive become a bit obsessed with them since getting her and if I didn't already have a house full of other peoples dogs everyday I would be starting my own pride of lions already! Just need that lottery win to happen first. Did you show your Lowchens? I'm not planning on showing Roo but I am fascinated by the lion clips and watching them move so might try and visit a open show just for a nosey sometime. Love your avatar, Beagles are such beautiful dogs
Yes I showed my two in the 1980's. I bred one litter (of four), but the boy I ran on just couldn't get on with his dad. The father lived to 17, and was still sound, with a full set of white teeth. Sadly, he developed dementia, and couldn't cope with daily life any longer.
