Bin men were late so I thought maybe they had missed me. Plonked next door to see if they had emptied hers and tipped her bin over me and went kerplonk. So there I was, flat on my butt - and my back - and my face, and could not move. Actually I slammed my face on her concrete but hey ho, who cares? Yelling out HELP HELP and two young men tried to get me up and I am saying please go and get my chair, my door being open - and guess who has yet another black eye? Actually the whole right side of my face is a mess. Why oh why do I have to have such embarrassing things where people can see? Especially when young men are around - orthodox ones at that! Coulda been worse - it was the right side of my face which is my bad side but I look a bitta ovva mess. Luckily I had the sense to take my specs off as I have nearly lost one eye when going kerplonk. Oh me - you idiot - how can you be so stupid?
Not my fault but gonna dunnit again. Gotta Tikki din dins ready, put the bowl down and hit my head on the floor. I do not want to know what the mess has left but I do not care, My head hurts and I will sort out the floor and bowl out later.
I think I have the answer, Malka. If you wore a rubber mask, it would protect your face from all this bruising. Seriously, I think it's time for a lie down, and if you feel no better in the morning, PLEASE make an appointment with a doctor!
If waking up at 6am is fine, then I am fine. Tikva's dish has been washed, the floor has been mopped, and no, I am not going to go to the doctor, who will actually be here this morning from 8-10am because she never listens so there is no point in going. What happened yesterday is I had seen the bin men earlier [they normally turn up at the crack of dawn] so I thought they had already taken the bag out of my bin. When I checked later the bag was still in my bin so I plonked next door to check hers, slipped and kerplunked pulling her bin on top of me. Not being stupid and having learned my lesson falling wearing specs, I do not go on my crutches wearing specs again. I can see fine without them but what I did not see was that I had put one of my crutches down on mud and as I started falling grabbed her bin. Luckily her house is opposite the macolet so I got help but as I have no strength I am like a dead weight to pick up which is why I wanted my chair to get on. No way could I have got on my feet but once on my chair I was able to get home OK. Than I just overbalanced when putting Tikki's dish down [evening = wet meal = Tikva probably knocking me to get to it + me probably a bit wobbly = disaster]. If she was not so little probably a raised thingy for her bowl would be easier. So, apart from a mess of my face, to say nothing of mud all over my clothes, I am, B"H fine. But I have not looked in a mirror!
Thank you Carole for not nagging! As I was only going to plonk next door [dunno where my neighbour was, as usual] I had left my door open and Tikva was outside on her tether, but how come she just let a total stranger come in and take my chair? Not daft that puppy - I think maybe she had heard me calling for help and seemed to know I needed my chair. I am really piddled of with my neighbour though, who is responsible for keeping my yards clear but never does so I have to, and pay for it, and yet she leaves her bin slung all over the place and her yard thick with mud as she has not had a drainage ditch cleared. And oh boy did we have such a storm on Monday [I think it was Monday].
I will nag you non stop if you don't see doctor next time you fall [fingers cross you will not fall again]
Tina, with a doctor only here twice a week for a couple of hours each time, both of which are not times I can go, and if it is raining I cannot go out, and when I do she does not listen to me, what is the point? Apparently I am entitled to a home visit doctor but I have never been able to find out how. My doctors has never told me. And there is not much use pressing my private emergency button because all they want to do is send for an ambulance to take me to the ER. Any idea what the ambulance costs? And the ER "treatment"? I fall, I fall. So what. But yesterday was unnecessary had my neighbour sorted out her bdooly bin and cleared her drainage ditch, so I had not gone down in the mud.
I was in the hospital with apparent severe food poisoning and secondary gastritis. The pain was so bad I thought I was gonna die! I'm still not right yet, but I feel better with some meds and like no food. Really bad stuff. Hope you're okay Malka!
Poor Myra - I just ache all over and have a very nasty looking face [so what is new about that]. I hope you feel better soon - do you know what caused it? Sending some very gentle hugs and get well soon {{{vibes}}}} xxx
It was some bad chicken apparently. Only thing I ate. Still not right but feeling a tad better. Really awful stuff. I'm never sick to my stomach so I entered a whole new world with this. They ran all kinds of tests because they weren't sure what it was. All came back normal so they just said suspected food poisoning and stuff. She said take some meds and give it a week, and if I'm not better by then, I'll need radiographs. They ruled out any imminent horrors like miscarriage etc.
