It's just simply that some have more facial hair than others. You can tell from when they are small pups how big their beard is going to grow. I remember Flynn's brothers and sisters, some had hairy faces at 6 weeks whereas others still had smooth muzzles. Flynn's just started to grow at about 12 weeks and as a result he doesnt have an excess of facial hair.

Beautiful dogs, I especially love the black and white variation and they are very few and far between in general compared to their short haired cousins!

My friend has a WHP who is almost like a GSP and is often mistaken for one.

I was speaking to somebody on the WHP Club and they told me it was because they were often bred with GSPs in the 70s and some of the genetics come through at times. Dont know if that's right or not but that's what I was told when I asked.

    Kind regards

Most of the early GWPs were a combination of Griffon, Pudelpointer, and GSP. As such some dogs display a short coat, others a more wirey coat. Some have a flat wire coat and just a little furnishings around the muzzle and eyebrows.
For example, out of the same litter-
