Pidge pm'd me to say that I hadn't posted pics of my Chi babies (quite rightly) so here they are. If I have put the thread in the wrong place, please feel free to move it. I'm pretty useless at all this stuff My Chihuahuas: Princess Pebbles (aka Pebbs or Peblet): Tiani Trixibelle (aka Choods): Bambi Babe (aka Bamble): Bailey Boy (aka Gayley): Fluffles Fufu (aka Fuffer): Krystal Kisses (aka Kissle): AND FOR A BIG SURPRISE, AS I HAVEN'T POSTED REGARDING THESE: Krystal with her pups Frankie (sable/silver/cream) and Phoebe (white) , that were born on 12th December 2008. I decided not to post before, as there was a lot of (IMO) bitching going on in the breeding forum, so I was going to post when they were 8 weeks but as I'm posting pics of my other babes, can't be leaving them out: Krystal has been an excellent Mum. Has fed them non-stop. I am going to keep both of the babies, as they are my first surviving litter and are pretty damn perfect (My OH is really happy about me having another two Chis - NOT ) Anyway, hope you enjoyed looking. I know Chis are not everyone's cup of tea but they sure are cute, aren't they
OMG!! Why have you never posted pics before!! They are adorable... Fluffles Fufu looks like she is watching you, waiting for you to drop some food or make a mistake then she can laugh at you! (And the babies! .... *splort*.... cuteness overload!)
Aww they are just adorable...and as for those babies...good job you live so far away or they would be dognapped...I could just fit those two into my handbag You have every right to be so proud of your little family and I look forward to seeing lots more piccies xx
AWE to cute,.... Im so pleased this litter went well for you, but im a little bit sad you felt unable to share them with us before now.. no matter better late than never... xxx
They are gorgeous, I love Chis I have a friends breeds them, all gorgeous but I am sorry, i'm going to HAVE to steal Pebbles from you.
Wow they are gorgeous and those two little babies , how cute are they , I'm not surprised you can't let them go
Yey, you did it! OK, how GORGEOUS are they! I like Bambie, she looks like she has abit of 'tude! Pebbles has lovely markings though. and as for the wee ones.....;o) Can I come visit? Of I would so like to cuddle these little babies! I love them. Thanks so much for posting, sorry you were made to take so long!! xxxxxxx
They are gorgeous!!! MUST have more pics from you more often!! Its soo nice to see some little uns on here
Thank you Fluffles is a greedy little minx. Always sitting at your feet, waiting to catch some crumbs! She has green eyes, so makes her look quite "human" in some ways. Her temperament is fantastic. Thanks so much. Yes they would definitely fit into your handbag, no trouble at all! They really are handbag dogs (even purse dogs at the moment). Thank you, Pebbles is a sweetie. She's as mad as a hatter, so full of life and character and her favourite game is "fetch" whereas the others, you throw them a ball and say "fetch" - being Chis they look at you like, "errrr, why would I want to get a ball you just threw, get it yourself" She is most peoples favourite, once they meet her. She's a big dog in a little body Thank you I decided before they were born that I would keep one boy and one girl from the litter (if possible) so perfect outcome. One of each. Phoebe is a mini-Krystal, she's just adorable Thanks for urging me to post pics Pidge. I've been meaning to set my head to it for ages and asking now gave me the perfect opportunity to introduce the babies. Bambi comes across very different in that pic. She is really a very shy little baby. She was bred with showing in mind but was way too timid for the ring - hence I got her - hehe Thank you! Now I've started posting pics (got my head round Photobucket - finally) I will be on a roll - posting pics of the babies every five minutes )
I'm always automatically drawn to the ones that have little quirks about them. If they have a bald patch I want them, if they are shy, I want them, if they have any kind of defect or special trait, I want them! No idea why, maybe it's the need to give back. Not sure what happened with Woody as he was clearly best of the bunch, although now he has a few little quirks himself! Bless him and his chair legs!
What a fabulous posse you have Congratulations on your new babes - they are adorable. I am soooooo jealous, I Chi's - so tiny and yet so full of 'tude ;-) I think your husband is right tho' and 8 is waaaaay to many to have so I'll be around after tea for Pebbles (Her toy looks so like my bichon she would feel right at home here ;-) )
I'm so sorry that I didn't feel able to share my news with you all. Particular you Shona, as you were so kind when I first joined Dogsey, after the disaster with Bambi's litter You were soooo understanding and helpful to me. I nearly pm'd you to say they had been born but thought it was tempting fate What am I like Thing is, I really took it bad, losing Bambi's pups, then there was quite a lot of bitching going on in the Breeding Forum and I just couldn't take any knock to my confidence, as it was already at an all time low. Seeing the way some Breeders get ripped into, I just couldn't take the chance that certain Members might hack away at me. To be honest, I don't know what anyone could say about me as a Breeder. I do everything by the book. My Chis and their pups mean the absolute world to me but you know how it is, when you've been through a disaster, you just feel too down to be pulled to pieces. I didn't only have to deal with grieving myself, I had to watch my kids grieving too, which made me feel so guilty! Made me wonder if I was cut out for breeding. However, so many people urged me to carry on, saying that the loss of the pups was not my fault, so I thought I'd give it one last try and I am soooooooo glad I did. The pups are breathtakingly wonderful!!!!!!
Arrrrh, thanks Shona, here's a close-up of Frankie, he's such a little cutie - sweet as they come: I love his little white 'socks' at the front. They are just like his Dad's (the Stud I used - Bambi's Brother)! Bless him. His Daddy was the same colouring as Bambi Just want to point out, in case the breeding police are out there. Bambi is in no way related to Krystal. No inbreeding going on in this house
Awww, I love Woody's chair legs I think my Daughter must be like you, wanting to give back as such. She's got it in her head that when she's older and has her own home, she wants to adopt a rescue Greyhound with three legs!!!!!! Strange kid. I can understand her wanting to rescue a needy dog but the three legs bit, I truly don't have a clue where that comes from She wants to be an RSPCA Inspector when she leaves school, so dare say she'll come across some very needy dogs in that role, if she accomplishes her career desire.
Awww, thanks Zoby Pebbles would willingly go with you! So would Fluffles but the rest would be "I want ma Mum" - Chis are so funny! The little Bichon toy is precious to us. My Daughters bought that for me when my beloved Bichon, Holly, died three years ago at the age of fourteen. She was older than all my kids then, so it was a huge chunk out of the family the day we lost her! She was so lovely, like a Nanny to the kids but she didn't like other dogs at all:?
I love your daughter already! She does sound just like me. She should investigate the voluntary work I did in Thailand at a dog sanctuary. I couldn't handle it and only lasted a day but she might like it. When she's older. Funny, I managed 3 months in Vietnam at an orphanage with no troubles, but put a sick and needy animal in front of me and I just cannot cope. Please can I nickname Frankie "Two Socks"! I LOVE him! He is my favourite along with Bambi.
I understand your reasons, also I can understand the tempting fate thing, the main thing is they are here now and god they are sooooo cute.
We had our first dog Polly before we had kids so I know what it must have been like when Holly died :-( LOL at her being a nanny to the kids but not your chi's Bichons are full of 'tude too so i suppose she had to show them who was top dog ;-) I just packed my bag and am on the way for pebbles
Pebbles is fast asleep on my lap at the desk. I'll tell her to pack her doggy rucksack, ready for the off We didn't get the Chis until after my Holly had died. Couldn't get another dog for a year or more , then kept looking at Bichons but knew it wouldn't be fair on the new pup, as it wouldn't or shouldn't be Holly, so thought of other breeds. My Daughter had been on about having a Chi for ages so, just to please her, I looked into the breed (not thinking for one minute that the Chi was the breed for me). Found they were the dog for me and 8 Chis later - here I am. Holly definitely wouldn't have liked the Chis. They think far too much of themselves - full of 'tude! Pebbles is top dog, even though she's not the oldest, Tiani is but she's a fair bit smaller that Pebbs. Have to have her spayed next month as she is too small to breed - shame, her pups would have been fabulous with the right Stud. Nevermind, just have to hope she gets over the spay okay. She's so small, I'll be a wreck when she goes in for the op:?
