I bought something of eBay for the house, went to pick it up and on knocking the door comes out a gorgeous Boxer She was too cute! Two years old and such a lovely size, her face was the spit of Rocky, cept she had a white patch. I could have taken her home! Any dogs that you have fallen in love with recently?
Oh yes - the little tiddler that Ram's wife brought into the surgery yesterday for a haircut, shampoo and towel-dry! I do not have the slightest idea what breed it was [and forgot to ask ] but it was the cutest little thing ever!
A couple down the road from me have just acquired two Kuvasz puppies. They're absolutely irresistible bundles of white fur at the moment but I know by winter their beautiful white coats will be matted and dirty from being left outside 24/7 and they won't be very friendly because their owners can't be bother to train them .... such a shame!
Did you get any photos Barbara? I hope their owners train them - dogs of this breed need firm guidelines
I had to speak with Ram earlier about Pereg's Pb results and asked him about the cute tiddler his wife brought into the surgery for a cut, wash and blowdry while I was there last week. The tiddler belongs to his mother-in-law and is a mixed breed, and even though his dog is a rather large black Lab, he had to admit that the tiddler was cute! But he actually has no idea as to what exact breeds are in it. But oh how I wanted that pup!
Yes. a spaniel puppy. she comes to work 3 days a week for about 6 hours while her owner is at work. She gets fussed far more than we probable should. We walk her with other "safe" dogs so as to help with socialising and she doesnt actually go in a kennel just hangs out in feed room and reception. she is tini and has so much attitude, a real diva. She naughty but in a cheeky way that you cant help love. I wouldnt bat an eyelid if her owner didnt come back for her as i would just bring her home. Even Phoebe is rather smitten with her and slightly confussed by the tini fast moving barky blob.
Spaniels, Heidi is my first, and she is a brilliant little dog....I would now love a Welsh Springer...
The best thing that has happened to me with regards to the rescue work has been introducing me to the awesomeness of all dogs, types and breeds: Ratting terriers, Spanish mastiffs, Bully shepherds, Rottweilers, spaniels, you name it, I've fallen for them all...damn shame I can't have any more
Azz ... sorry I haven't answered your question before but my PC died on me and I had to ask my son to send me a new one from the UK which has only just arrived! No photos of the Kuvasz I'm afraid, as I didn't have my camera with me and I very much doubt their owners will bother to train them. Its a source of amusement in the village that Georgie goes "school" and gets taken for a walk on a lead. Now that her eyesight's improved she's been promoted to group training which she loves although she's a few months older than the other dogs. Her best friend is a stunning 7 month old Bull Terrier who's white with a large black patch over one eye. I'll try and remember to take my camera with me next Sunday and take a photo of him because he really is a very handsome lad. Today I fell in love when I popped into the vet and saw a 9 week old cream Chow. He was gorgeous just like a tiny Teddy Bear .... talk about love at first sight!
