lol...No, I'm jealous. Mine are up to the arm pit only still - though with a bit more coaxing I think Kody would actually like to swim. Keena has swam before though but only when we went in the sea and she was still a baby and couldn't bare to be without us and risked life and limb (probably how she saw it!) to get to us. Water to swim in is far to clean but Keena especially does like to wallow like a hippo in puddles. Carole after mine have been soaked they initially dry quickly but then stay quite damp for eons.
Awwwwwwwwwww . Loki's the same, he has a good shake (usually over me! ) so the top layer dries out but he stays damp underneath. I just took him down for a wade in a nearby stream and it made him lovely and cool. Now he stinks though. Trouble with him is he's so mad he chucks himself in where he can't climb out. He did this when I was pregnant and I had to drag him out. Mys - you'll have to get in there with them and teach him .
Inca will only go in to her armpit level too really. Tonto my JRT will swim and swim, so if I throw a stick into the sea he will get it and she will ambush him and take it when he is level with her. She has forgotten herself though, and been covered by a wave before, but she didn't like it. Other than that water of any kind attracts her, puddles treams, her water bowl, anything.
Thanks LS My two are chalk and cheese. Mr Woo (ole' Ginger dude) barely likes to get his feet wet ("Oh, no, faaaar too cold for my little toes, bbrrrrrr") ...but my Woogs loves the water (I'm sure she was a Hippo in a previous life ) and as soon as she spots water, she's in, belly flop.....and OFF she goes We have to drag her out, and him in
No Way, he's never been a follower, always made up his own mind about things.......plus he's a wimp, water is scary you know, there Might even be FISH in there :smt042
Just looked at this agin - looks like Kain has chucked the 'no fishing' sign away so that he can fish .
That's a lovely picture, Rose. So she shakes all over you, just like Loki does me? I really ponged this morning after he'd waded through the stream and shaken all over me.
