Who needs Diarmuid Gavin???? they have done a fine job there for you i have a bichon who would just love to "help" your two, digging is her speciality.
Mine aren't really 'diggers' - more like 'tree surgeons'. I used to have some lovely shrubs, saplings, plants, flowers etc etc. Now it looks like the Vietnamese jungle after a napalm strike.

Goodness! We have a couple of holes but nothing on that scale! Maybe they thought you'd like a re-designed garden? Have you considered a sort of sand pit for a digging area?
Really helpful aren't they, Ollie loves to help too. He thinks he does me a huge favour by digging plants out of the pots that I have just moved. He takes a lot convincing that is not what I want. You won't need to hire or buy a rotovator or mechanical digger if you need any large landscaping done.
