The Run Free Alliance consists of three anti vivisection organisations which have united to promote a 100,000 signature petition which would force the UK Government to debate the use of Beagle dogs in laboratories. (This is a quite separate petition to the, 'Oppose B & K International' petition, which some of you kindly signed earlier this year, and which resulted in the intervention of the Govt. Planning Inspectorate). On New Year's Eve, the Run Free Alliance petition reached 62,000 signatures, and it would be a wonderful result if the other 38,000 signatures could be added early in 2015. If you can find it in your heart to help these thousands of sad little hounds, could you please seek out the petition, and sign it? You could Google, Run Free Alliance, -witter, UKRunFree, or, -acebook, Runfreealliance, to do so. Thank you in advance. (I hope this is OK, Azz).
I would if I could Carole, but as I am not in the UK I cannot sign any of these petitions - much as I would like to.
Have signed took me ages as my F Secure kept on blocking it on my desktop computer & laptop, but I managed to get it up on my tablet & signed it xxxx
Done, I thought I did it last night...included the e-link too but...I was also very tired...okay yes I definitely signed it just now.
I checked on the Run Free site last night, and the latest figure given for signatures, (4th. Jan), was 66,666. Only another 33,334 to go! Whilst there I also spotted:- On the 5th. Jan. the Korean, (Southern, I presume), MAFRA decided to ban animal testing on finished cosmetic products as part of a 5 year plan. It is to consider extending the ban to cosmetic ingredients. And, further to the, 'Oppose B & K International' petition. (Planning permission to greatly increase the number of breeding bitches at their facility at Grimston, N. Yorks. - which was massively supported, and was then referred to the Govt. Planning Inspectorate). 'A decision on this matter will not be made before the General Election. The Secretary of State will announce his decision on or before the 4th. June 2015'. I really don't know how to react to this one!
