Can you please tell me the type of breed of a dog I recently adopted? I downloaded 2 apps... one says she's a maremma and the other says kuvaz.
The Kuvasz is the larger of the two breeds, but I really wouldn't like to say. Is she just a youngster? She doesn't look as heavily coated as the ones that I have seen. Her finished weight might give you a clue. Are you be sure that she is pure-bred? A DNA test should give you a better answer, but do check that both of these breeds are included in the database of the test you choose. One cheaper test that I looked at only had a 200 breed database, though I think the majority are well in excess of that number these days.
