Hello! I recently adopted a 9 month old pup from the local shelter and believe he is an Australian Cattle Dog crossed with possibly a Rat Terrier. When he was dropped off at the shelter he came in with an ACD (Blue Heeler) and was told they were related. My little guy has a lot of ACD characteristics (herding, high energy, smart, nips) but he’s much smaller and clearly has some other breed mixed in him. He only weighs about 14 pounds. He’s a great dog and I’ve fell head over heels for him. I’ve attached a couple of photos of him and was wondering if you guys could give me your thoughts on if he looks like a Heeler and what he might be mixed with. Thank you!!
He does look as you’ve described him, and is a cute fellow. I’m sure y’all will enjoy him, as he looks like he could be quite the rascal!
