Of the modern music first one that comes to mind is " UpTown Funk", I also love Pink and Macklemore. A lot of my workout music is Motown and 70's heavy metal. Two tunes that will get you up a steep hill "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, step on the beat. Another lesser known party tune that rolls is "Boom, Boom ( out go the lights) by Pat Travers, download the live version. Oh and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Thanks. Not sure I've heard Up Town Funk. I'm adding these to list though so I will check it out.

Southern rock too Lynyrd Skynyrd and Marshall Tucker...there was also a country singer, still performing even now at 70, Jerry Jeff Walker, not to everyone's taste some songs he sounds like he's too lit to hold the guitar.

My current faves are anything by Bon Jovi and an old 80's cd Fine young Cannibals.

Side story on FYC-If you look up Roland Gift now he hasn't aged a bit...still amazing. I saw that concert maybe a month before my eldest daughter was born. Try to imagine those little feet twirling under your ribs to "Good Thing". My buddy feared I would go into labor while we were there, THAT would have been a bit awkward. She did wait another few weeks, but that night she was dancing in utero.
